Edinburgh Centre for Robotics Annual CDT Conference 2026

This conference provides a platform for students from our two Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs) in Robotics and Autonomous Systems (CDT-RAS) and Dependable and Deployable AI for Robotics (CDT-D2AIR) to share their work.

Both CDT-RAS and CDT-D2AIR are part of the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics, a joint research initiative between Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh, encompassing the full spectrum of AI and robotics disciplines and world-leading research from over 70 academics.

The conference will run for the full day from 09:00 – 17:30, followed by an evening meal. The schedule will include:

• Two keynote speakers from our academic and industry partners.
• Talks from our current students from both CDTs, as well as from alumni.
• Poster session demonstrating ongoing work from our students.
• Panel discussion from our current students.
• Evening meal at a location in Edinburgh City Centre (location TBC).

This is a fantastic opportunity to not only learn more about both of our CDTs and speak with our current students, but to also network with academics and industry experts within the AI and Robotics sector.
