Yoga means Bhakti Yoga or Preliminary stages of Bhakti Yoga. It is much more than just a physical exercise. The word “Yoga” comes from the Sanskrit root 'Yuj', means to link up with, or combine. Bhakti is derived from the Sanskrit word 'bhaj', means loving service.
"Bhakti Yoga" means to connect to the Supreme consciousness by means of loving service.
Love is the most fundamental drive of every living entity. We cannot be happy without satisfying this desire to love, and we will not be able to perfectly fulfil this desire without permitting its expansion to the most inclusive extent.
We all have Love or Bhakti within ourselves. However, it is in dormant state. There is a simple way to awaken this dormant loving service by linking our consciousness to the highest or Supreme Consciousness, this is Bhakti Yoga.
What to expect: Group Mantra Meditation, Kirtan, Wisdom, Community, Interactive discussions based on ancient scriptures and a delicious plant-based meal will be served at the end.
Mantra Meditation - A type of meditation known as Kirtan which uses sound and mantras to transcend the mind. Research shows that mantra music and mantra meditation has a very positive impact on mental health by reducing the level of stress, promoting happiness and helping one achieve balance and peace.
Interactive Discussions – Discussions on Bhakti Yoga and its benefits, how it can bring inner fulfilment and how to apply it in modern life. There will be different topics covered each week such as Who am I?, What is the goal of life?, What is Karma?, How to use your fear?, What is Vedic culture?, etc. The reference for these discussions will be taken from ancient scriptures like "Bhagavad Gita As It Is" and "Srimad Bhagavatam".
The session finishes with a delicious plant-based free meal.
