You are invited for an Ecstatic Dance, guided Embodied Movements and handpan Sound Journey with DJ Leela and our guest artists (Daniel and Zeynep), a New Year special. It will be on a Sunday night (January 19, 17:30-20:30) to dance and move ecstatically and freely, to meditate, to connect, to release what's no longer serving you and to rest together, with a community potluck-style sharing after to connect deeper. It will happen in the private and cozy space of Kokopelli Amsterdam overlooking the beautiful canal water. We keep it donation-based and available for everyone.We will start from a guided Embodied Movement Ritual, with a grounding meditation and a taste of Contact Beyond Contact and Authentic Movement practices. Then we will flow naturally to the Ecstatic Dance, with a closing live sound journey (handpan and other instruments...).
WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE?
It is a form of free-style dance that emphasizes free movement and authentic expressions, often accompanied by music and sounds that create different waves of a journey. It is a contemporary practice that has evolved over time, drawing on elements of various cultural and spiritual traditions. "The fastest, cleanest, most joyful way to break out of your own box is by dancing." "If you don't do your dance, who will?"
WHAT IS CONTACT BEYOND CONTACT?
"Contact Beyond Contact" refers to how we are always in contact, beyond physical touch, through our senses, presence, and energy. CBC sessions are spaces for connection, integration, and transformation for body, mind, heart, and soul. They foster deeper communication with yourself, your partner, and the world through dance and expression.

Exchange: Donation-based (everyone is welcome to join, then donate after via pin or cash, suggested from 15-30 euros).

Potluck-style food sharing starts from 19:30 after the dance
Please arrive on time for the opening together (guided exploration of senses and gentle movements)
To bring: your own drinks (no alcohol) and any snacks or food you like for yourself and/or to share, any instruments to co-create. Musicians are welcome to join for jamming during and afterwards.

During the last few years, we have been working with dozens of artists to share the beauty through the form for Ecstatic & Co-created Arts including guided movements, sound journey, meditation, yoga, tantric rituals and much more. WHO ARE WE?
DJ Leela and LeilArts are a team in the conscious arts space. It seems no coincidence that they met at an event where Awareness & Exploration were the main ingredients. Both names are derived from Sanskrit as “In our daily experience, embracing the dance of life with a hint of playfulness, including the waves of bright & dark matters and sunshine & rain…” They feel privileged to weave their creativity and experiences into offering their music and art to you.
