Join Deborah on August 22nd at Mind Body Medicine of Florida for Intro to EcoNidra!
EcoNidra is based on the ancient practice of yoga nidra, which is known as “thoroughly restful meditative sleep". The sessions last about 50 minutes, but you will be more refreshed than having been in a deep sleep for 3-4 hours.
Each EcoNidra session will take you on a 3-part journey – a journey through the senses, a pilgrimage through the body, and journey through Nature. Each session is different so you can make this a regular part of your self-care practices, and they are designed so that you will receive exactly what your mind and your body need at that time.
There are many proven physical, mental and emotional benefits from doing regular EcoNidra sessions, which include: improving your sleep, digestion, immune system, and your general feeling of wellbeing; regaining and maintaining energy and mental acuity; and resting your eyes and your mind from too much screen time.
And, so important – these sessions are an incredibly relaxing way to lower your daily stress.
EcoNidra is best experienced lying down in the traditional Shavasana position, where you are lying on your back on a yoga mat. However, if that is not comfortable to you, you can be sitting in a chair, or lying down in whatever position is most comfortable for you. You are welcome to bring a small pillow or towel to support your head, and a small blanket or big beach towel to cover up with during the session so you do not get chilly as your body slows down and fully relaxes. Comfortable clothing is recommended.
