Eco Arts Festival

To kick off Climate Week NYC, Artichoke Dance Company is hosting Eco Arts Festival 2025 on Governors Island! Come enjoy a day full of FREE eco-inspired performances, participatory experiences and workshops, visual art and short films created by environmentally inspired artists.

All events take place at and near the Climate Imaginarium on Governors Island (406A Comfort Rd., New York, NY) on Colonels Row. Learn how to get to Governors Island and find the Climate Imaginarium.

OakKAO: Kinetic Arts Outdoors, Damontae Hack, Eco Angels, Miho Ryu, Eloïse Frey, Leslie Kerby, Janice McDonnell, Quinn Wynacht, Iviva Olenick, Lenore Solmo, Vasudev Vashisht, Chicava, Ishkara Heqwabti and Ndigo, and Artichoke Dance Company.

Schedule of events:

11am-4pm - Visual Art and Film on view at Climate Imaginarium house/406A Colonels Row (works by Vasudev Vashisht and Quinn Wynacht) and at Duye Moves House/405A Colonels Row (works by Eloïse Frey, Leslie Kerby and Janice McDonnell).

11am-4pm - Participatory Aquatic Installation with Lenore Solmo on the lawn.

11:30am-1pm - Plant Mono-Printing workshop with Iviva Olenick on the lawn.

12-2:00pm - Performances by OakKAO: Kinetic Arts Outdoors, Damonte Hack, Miho Ryu, Eco Angels, and Artichoke Dance Company on the lawn.

1pm-4pm - QiGong workshop (1-2) and Sound Bath (2-4) with Chicava, Ishkara Heqwabti and Ndigo at Duye Moves House/405A Colonels Row.

2pm-3:30pm - Seed Bomb Workshop with Vasudev Vashisht on the lawn.
