CRISTINA COOPER

Meet Cristina, a virtuoso cellist whose musical journey is distinguished by a remarkable academic trajectory and well-deserved accolades. Cristina completed her Postgraduate Artist Diploma in Cello under the guidance of Derek Aviss, OBE, in 2021, followed by a Master of Performance in Cello at the Royal College of Music, London, from 2017 to 2019.

Recognitions has consistently adorned Cristinas path exemplifying her commitment to excellence in music education and performance. Designated as a Benedetti Foundation Ambassador in 2021, Cristina's unwavering pursuit of musical excellence led her to be selected for the Carne Trust Mentorship Scheme in 2020. Her exceptional achievements were further acknowledged with the Trinity Laban Award for the Artist Diploma course in 2020 and the prestigious Trinity Laban Silver Medal Award in 2017, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the strings department.

Cristina's artistry extends seamlessly across stages and orchestras. Currently serving as a deputy player with the NSO orchestra in Dublin since the summer of 2023, and the principal cellist with the London film Music Orchestra, she has honed her skills through orchestral training with esteemed ensembles such as the Royal College of Music Symphony Orchestra and Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra. Cristina has consistently captivated audiences with her performances in theatre productions, including 'Queen of Roses' and 'Bare.'

Her musical influence reaches beyond the stage into the recording studio. Cristina has recorded the soundtrack 'Pretty Red Dress' and made significant contributions to the string quartet album 'To Care' by Ben Ramsden on Spotify. Collaborating and orchestrating for award-winning independent films like 'Only Child,' she has engaged in diverse recording experiences, from commercials to tracks with EZRA COLLECTIVE at Abbey Road studios.

Cristina is not only a solo performer but also an integral part of various ensembles. She is a founding member of the KORDA ensemble and the Caspian Trio, and she played a key role in the success of the Isbilia Quartet, which clinched victory in the Cavatina Intercollegiate chamber music competition in 2016.

Beyond her mesmerizing performances, Cristina dedicates herself to nurturing the next generation of musicians. Her invaluable contributions as a cello and violin tutor at various music services and schools reflect a genuine passion for education.

With a repertoire spanning classical, film, and contemporary music, Cristina continues to captivate audiences and inspire aspiring musicians through her exceptional talent and unwavering commitment to the art of cello performance.


CHIARA NALDI

Chiara Naldi is a classical pianist and piano teacher based in London.She first started learning the piano at the age of 6 and at 13 she was admitted to the “G. B. Martini” Conservatoire in Bologna to study under the guidance of Professor Mauro Landi.Chiara holds a Master’s Degree with Honours in Piano Performance from the Bologna Conservatoire. She recently completed a Postgraduate Advanced Diploma at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where she studied with Professor Sergio de Simone thanks to a Trinity College Scholarship and to the Henry Wood Trust. She has been twice awarded the “Magone” scholarship for piano pupils of the Bologna Conservatoire. She has also attended classes with Professors Deniz Arman Gelenbe, Martino Tirimo, Margaret Fingerhut, Peter Tuite, Pascal Rogé, Jonathan Plowright on interpretation, Professor Douglas Finch for improvisation and Professors Carlo Mazzoli and Silvia Rambaldi for historically informed performance on fortepiano and harpsichord.

She has performed in numerous concerts in Italy (Cappella Farnese, Accademia Filarmonica, Istituto Liszt, Oratorio di S. Cecilia and Circolo degli Ufficiali in Bologna, Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Sala Fellini in Faenza) and France (Salle Varèse, CNSMD in Lyon), India (Royal Opera House Mumbai, Bangalore International Centre, Mazda Hall Pune) and in London (Tate Modern, The National Gallery, The Chapel of the Old Royal Naval College, Peacock Room in Trinity Laban, Blackheath Halls, The Polish Hearth Club, York Hall at Spitalfield Music Festival).Her repertoire ranges from Baroque to Contemporary music and improvisation, she enjoys performing as a soloist as well as a chamber musician and in large ensembles and orchestras. She has been collaborating with tenor Sandeep Gurrapadi since 2017, and together with Martha Maria Mitu they were joint winners at the Gladys Puttick Improvisation Competition in 2018. Chiara is also keen on collaborating with composers.She deeply enjoys teaching pupils of all ages, she is committed to sharing her passion for the piano and she is constantly evolving and developing her teaching methods. She is a piano teacher at Dulwich College, Greenwich Music School and Ark Greenwich Free School
