Eburu Forest has been described as a 'biodiversity hotspot' by AI. It is part of the Mau Forest and it has been well conserved. It is home to a wide species of birds, mammals and plants. It is located in a geologically rich area surrounded by lakes (Naivasha, Elementaita, Nakuru). From Eburu peak one is able to spot geothermal spas, Mount. Longonot and the escarpments clearly.Hiking through this forest is pure bliss. The route is lined up with indigenous trees, rich undergrowth, bamboo, and stinging nettle. The terrain is up and down and a steady climb towards the peak.
There is a natural spa towards the end of the trail that offers a refreshing steam bath. There is just so much to hiking in Eburu.
