About this Event
Celebrate the launch of Breaststrokes, a second novel by Margaux Vialleron at Eating the Novel Supperclub on 9th May, Thursday, 7pm.
Eating the Novel Supperclub is a four course dinner, a telling of the story of Breaststrokes through a meal. Enjoy a complimentary drink on arrival, special readings by the author, Margaux Vialleron and a conversation about food in fiction between Margaux and Bre Audrey Graham. And, we hope, you enjoy the company of strangers to talk to as well.
Breaststrokes is a novel about four women, who connect and come together over one weekend. Learn about what connects them and who they are through each course the Eat the Novel Supperclub on 9th May, Thursday at South London Louie.
Cloe, Gertrude and the Jenkins-Bell sisters, Mathilde and Sarah, are strangers who share a city. Until their paths cross at the pub on a Sunday evening.
‘Reading Breaststrokes felt a little like watching ribbons unfurl – or intertwine. Margaux Vialleron writes tenderly and evocatively about female friendship, fear and desire’ — Chloë Ashby, author of Wet Paint and Second Self
Breaststrokes is officially publishing on 9th May, but you can pre-order your copy from your favourite bookshop or buy a copy here: https://linktr.ee/breaststrokesnovel
Copies of the book will be available to buy on the evening as well.
