The East Riding of Yorkshire Yeomanry from its formation in 1903 to the end of WW1 is the subject of the next meeting of the Pocklington and District Local History Group on Thursday 19th March at 7.30pm at the Old Courthouse, George Street, Pocklington.The speaker will be Neil Hutty, who has written 3 books about the Yeomanry. Neil has been researching and collecting memorabilia relating to the East Riding of Yorkshire Yeomanry, the local Territorial Army cavalry regiment, for many years. Some of our local men belonged to the regiment, which used Ousethorpe camp and Kilnwick Percy Hall at various times.
All are welcome and there is an admission charge of £3.
