This month, we brainstormed a variety themes, from a cozy, silly , cute "Onsie Night" to a kinky dance temple to a "hygge" style nervous system repair night.... However, what feels most important right now is simply having a safe, warm, welcoming container to let intense energies through, complete the physical 'stress cycle', and rest in the care of community.
Please help us craft a space rich in nervous-system-calming cozy warm blankets. Feel free to wear PJ's and or whatever attire helps you feel secure in these long cold months of winter... We look forward to lining the space with cushions and blankets so we can have a membrane of comfort surrounding our ritual dance floor. Our bodies are designed to respond to stress through action and movement.... When we absorb so much stress from news and social media, it can get stuck and dampen our health and our ability to act or think optimally. The dance floor will be a place to move energy out and through, and the edges of the space will be for community care and rest.
Ecstatic dance is a global movement helping to reclaim and awaken our raw human nature... In a world that has numbed the capacity for feeling, shrunk self-expression, and keeps people as distant and as separate as possible, the primal need to roar, shout and play has NOT been lost.... it has merely been brewing and broiling to erupt more boldly than ever.... Ecstatic dance is an intention space to let your body come back to life, awaken your spirit, and REHUMANIZE.
We kicked off our FIFTH year of ecstatic dance on January 2nd with a legendary night of dance. Earthshake is always an eruption of love, and the tone has been set for another heroic, magical year of dance,.
This month, we are excited to welcome Iridescence to the decks as our monthly guest DJ.

Iridescence is an Assyrian‑rooted DJ and sound weaver whose artistry bridges ancestral lineage with modern bass culture. Raised in a family of dancers, rhythm shaped her earliest language. Her sets blend world music, tribal, hypnotic, Eastern influences, world bass, trap, spiritual hip hop, tribal fusion, liquid glitch, and space bass into dynamic, immersive journeys. Drawing on Mesopotamian melodic treasures, earthy beats, and soul‑stirring basslines, she crafts prismatic soundscapes — a mosaic of vibration and movement — that invite embodiment, remembrance, and divine expression.
If this is your first time, be sure to arrive at 8:00 for a gentle introduction.
Guidelines:
- Treat the dance space as a temple.
- Treat yourself, the venue, and every person showing up with respect.
- We are a family / community.
- There is no right or wrong way to participate, as long as you are showing up with respect.
- Bring extra water,
- Bring healthy treats or snacks for our potluck-style abundance table:
- No street shoes on the floor
- Please keep all talking in the lobby (not on dance floor)
- Practice consent. Listen to your self first, and never enter anyone's close personal bubble without a clear yes" to a clear ask. <3 This is what allows our container to thrive.
Send a Dm to join our crew. There is always space to plug in and help make this event shine. We can use support on the front end setting up, on the back end breaking down, and in between planning, decorating, promoting, ect.
Thank you for joining us.
This month's prompt is "expanding our capacity".
The dance floor is more than just a place for revelry. It is a space to practice and expand:
How does it feel to expand your capacity for expression?
What happens if, when we hit a wall, or when we shrink, we see it as an opportunity for growth? What if, when start to feel like we've gotten as big as we can get, and finally hit our barrier, rather than stop at the membrane, we dance through it? What if, when we hit an edge of letting love in, or letting love through, we don't assume we hit our limit, but lean even more past it? This month, the prompt it: notice when you start to shrink, and dance though. Look at moments of hesitation or inner resistance as gold: these are the best next places to expand our capacity for expression, expand our capacity for living, expand our capacity for loving.
