Who’s Who?
Hosts
Artistic Alphabet Mafia: The official silliest queer arts org in Chicago with a focus on providing accessible, affordable, sober, and fun creative spaces for local Queer people.
Hull House: founded in 1889, Hull house has served as a center for socially progressive art and community in Chicago for a century and a half. The Jane Addams Hull-House Museum offers exhibitions and programs that aim to inspire action. We serve to educate a diverse range of visitors, including young learners, the UIC community, and civic-minded people in Chicago and beyond
Urban Rivers
Urban Rivers believe that transforming urban waterways into wildlife sanctuaries is not only an important environmental mission, but also a critical social one. Access to nature and greenspace is not equally distributed in our cities, and historically marginalized communities have been disproportionately impacted by environmental degradation and pollution. They seek to target and transform historically degraded areas of the Chicago River into lush gardens and public walkways that benefit the communities around them, improving environmental quality and increasing access to nature.
Chicago Mushroom Club
Chicago Mushroom Club is an anti-capitalist citizen scientist collective focused on sharing knowledge, skills, resources, and of course harvests with our community. Their purpose is to encourage interest and education in Mycology, document local fungi, and work with the community to decrease the fear of mushrooms. They host forays, cookouts, workshops, and virtual seminars to give our community the free education they deserve. Knowledge should never be kept behind a pay wall.
