Build your own book using high-quality repurposed materials!
About this Event

Workshop Description

This workshop will help you design and build your own custom, sturdy and portable book so you can write that poetry, draw your cat, and clarify your thoughts.

Artist Miles Epstein will help you choose your paper, pick a cover, and build your book. We’ll brush up our razor knife skills and learn about several different binding strategies.

No experience necessary but comfort using sharp tools is helpful.

Please note we have a sliding scale for tickets for this event! The break down is as follows:

General Admission #1: Covers the cost of workshop and materials

General Admission #2: Covers cost of workshop, materials, and supports the instructor

General Admission #3: Covers cost of workshop, materials, supports the instructor, and helps keep our workshops more accessible

About the Artist

Miles is a repurposed materials artist. Paper is his primary medium, but he will also use cork, wood, scrap metals, and other gleaned materials. Along with fine art, Miles makes furniture, and specializes in client-driven commissions. His studio is in Bernal Heights, San Francisco.
