Save the Date: Schiller Park Earth Day Cleanup!Join us for a morning of community and conservation as we celebrate Earth Day by giving Schiller Park some much-needed love. Whether you are a longtime neighbor or a first-time visitor, we’d love your help in keeping our urban green spaces vibrant and clean.

Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026
Location: Schiller Park, Syracuse, NY (Drive in at the Rugby/Oak st entrance, Park by the Schiller Pool, we will have a tent sent up for sign in just below the pool in the garden patio area)
Time: 10:00 AM
Weather: This event is Rain or Shine, so please dress for the Syracuse spring!
What to Expect
We want to make sure everyone stays safe while we work. We will provide trash bags and a limited number of trash tongs/grabbers.
Safety Briefing: A short safety discussion will take place promptly at the start of the event before we pair off into cleanup teams.
Gear Up: We strongly recommend wearing sturdy, closed-toe footwear and bringing your own work gloves.
Hazardous Materials: Please use extreme caution. If you encounter any hazardous materials (glass, needles, or unidentified chemicals), do not handle them directly. Alert a lead volunteer during the event.
Participant Waiver & Liability
By joining us for this cleanup, you are contributing your time as a voluntary participant. Please be aware of the following:
Assumption of Risk: While we strive to provide a safe environment, outdoor volunteer activities involve inherent risks, including uneven terrain and contact with waste. By attending, you agree to assume all risks associated with your participation.
Release of Liability: Your attendance serves as an acknowledgment that you are participating at your own risk. The organizers and associated non-profit partners are not responsible for any injuries, illness, or loss of personal property that may occur during the event.
