About this Event
Join MTGA and Megan Motil, Parallel Solutions, for a dynamic 2.5-hour workshop and facilitated dialogue exploring the evolving role of e-bikes on Michigan’s trail and transportation networks.
Choose from three opportunities to participate: two virtual sessions and one in-person workshop. No matter how you join, you'll engage in meaningful conversations about the impacts of e-bikes on shared-use trails and pathways.
E-bikes offer exciting opportunities to enhance transportation and recreation accessibility, but they also bring unique challenges to shared spaces. Through interactive discussions—both small and large group—we’ll examine the challenges and opportunities of e-bike use. Together, we’ll share best practices, brainstorm solutions, and explore strategies to improve education, etiquette, and safety for all users.
This workshop is designed for nonprofit educators, trail managers, advocates, and anyone passionate about trails and greenways. It’s a space to openly share perspectives, celebrate successes, and tackle the complexities of a rapidly changing trail landscape.
By participating, you’ll contribute to shaping the future of trail etiquette and safety while building connections with others committed to sustainable and inclusive outdoor recreation. Join us to be part of this important conversation and leave inspired to make a positive impact on Michigan’s trail and biking communities.
Let’s work together to ensure harmony and shared enjoyment on our trails!
