The Community Ofrenda at LA Plaza serves as a space to honor the many forms of grief affecting Los Angeles’ communities. Through the ofrenda, we grieve our sense of safety and honor the lives of our undocumented community members forcibly removed and disappeared from their homes. Through this shared offering, individual sorrow is transformed into collective resilience. As participants contribute photos and messages, the Ofrenda will transform from a foundation of mourning to a living landscape of remembrance, love, and resistance.
