About this Event
We avoid talking about death — until we can’t anymore.
Dying to Talk is a monthly, in-person community Death Café facilitated by Kira Holbrook, a trained end-of-life doula. This is a structured but open discussion space where adults can gather to speak honestly about mortality, grief, caregiving, legacy, fear, and the parts of life we are often taught to avoid.
No fixing.
No preaching.
No forced positivity.
Just real conversation, held with steadiness and respect.
This is not therapy, counseling, or a religious service. It is a guided community discussion designed to normalize conversations about death and dying in a calm, welcoming environment.
Whether you’re grieving, supporting someone at the end of life, curious about mortality, or simply wanting a place where these conversations are welcomed — you belong here.
❤️Bottled water generously provided by Hempy Water.
❤️Donuts generously provided by Glazed Over.
❤️Free to attend. Registration requested as seating is limited.
❤️Because of the context of discussion, for now I ask for adults 18+ (unless discussed).
I want to create a kid friendly space for this in the future.
