DV103: Advocacy and Community Response

Goals and Objectives:

Identify the importance of cultivating a coordinated community response to victims
Identify the various systems designed to support or inform victims (community-based, criminal justice, social services, workplace, healthcare, media, education)
Recognize the advantages and challenges these systems present and learn how to navigate them effectively as an advocate for victims
Learn how to play a role in your community or workplace to raise awareness and launch prevention-based activities

** DV101 or extensive background in the field of domestic violence is strongly recommended. We will not review basic information in this class.
