The #UniteSF festival kicks off after the Saint Patrick's Day Parade on March 16, 2024 at 2 PM at SF's Civic Center Plaza.After Irish & Dragon dancing to Traditional Irish, you will be treated to sets by The Hooks (2:30 PM) and The Glide Ensemble (4 PM).
Dublin Soul will wrap up the all-day festival with a high energy bang at 5 PM as day turns to the evening under the lights.
Dublin Soul is a fusion of soul and Irish charm, featuring the incredible talents of Tony Lindsay (Santana), Omega Rae (Van Morrison), the traditional vocals of Amelia Hogan, Ronan and Keith Mulligan from The Hooks, backed by and the Glide Choir and Change Band, under the guidance of keyboardist and musical director, Eamonn Flynn (The Commitments, Elvin Bishop).
? Special Tribute: Dublin Soul will also honor the legacies of Sinéad O'Connor and Shane MacGowan, two titans of Irish music who left us in 2023. Join us in celebrating their unforgettable contributions through a sample of heartfelt tributes.
Eamonn Flynn - At the helm of Dublin Soul is the visionary keyboardist Eamonn Flynn. Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Eamonn has worked with The Commitments, Finbar Furey, and The Black Brothers & Family. He has also worked with Elvin Bishop, Boz Scaggs, Los Lobos, Spearhead, Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King, Bernard Purdie, Grant Green Jr., Coco Montoya, Michelle Shocked, Taj Mahal, Pee Wee Ellis, Donald Harrison, Maria Muldaur, Honey Island Swamp Band, and a 10 year stint with Meters drummer Zigaboo Modeliste.
Eamonn's expertise lies in his ability to blend genres seamlessly, creating a sound that is both fresh and deeply rooted in musical tradition. Tony Lindsay - With a voice that has graced the stage alongside the legendary Santana for over 25 years, Tony Lindsay brings an unparalleled depth of soul to the ensemble. An 11 time Grammy-winning vocalist, Tony's dynamic range and powerful performances have captivated audiences worldwide.
