Die Band schreibt: "Schrammelpunk aus der Lehrerhand. Hamburgs The Gents sind 3 Grundschullehrer, die im Keller eines alten Krematoriums proben.
Sie schreiben Songs über Kung Fu, Partys in Carports, burned out Lehrer und brennende Schulen."
Die nächste EP ist bereits aufgenommen und wird in den kommenden Wochen erscheinen.
Schön, dass sich mal jemand dieses Themas annimmt und nicht nur die degenerierten Vierbeiner beschimpft, die sich so weit von dem natürlichen Instinkt, nicht einfach irgendwohin zu scheißen, entfernt haben und ihre Kackhaufen auf Spielplätzen und Bürgersteigen hinterlassen.
Man muss Herrchen und Frauchen in die Verantwortung nehmen und auch diese dazu anhalten, nicht einfahch irgendwohin zu scheißen und obendrein noch ihren Tölen beizubringen, in diese kleinen schwarzen Tüten zu kacken, so lange sie sich im urbanen Umfeld herumtreiben.

5 rabid tracks of raw and wild Rip Off Records style punk rock. This unhinged garage punk is created by a trio of Hamburg-based educators (some of them originally from London and previously in bands like The Vex or Thee Mvps) slaving away in the same school and therapeutically saving their souls by doing raging guitar punk rock in the music room after the kids have gone home. For fans of Reatards, Carbonas, Infections, Loli and the Chones and Teengenerate.

The Gents – Responsible Dog Walker 7″
Eine ganze 7″ Single ist von The Gents danach benannt worden, denn in Hamburg scheint das ein großes Problem zu sein, dass die Gehwege und Parks und Radwege und Straßenstriche mit Hundescheiße übersät sind. Warum nicht. Wenn das musikalisch dann mit rotzigem Garage Punk untermalt ist, dringt die Message vielleicht auch mal durch. Genügend Melodien und Ohrwurmqualitäten sind auf jeden Fall in den 5 Songs enthalten, um damit auf einem Spaziergang mit Hasso zur Davidwache ein paar Beutel vollzumachen und dann einer kreativen Nutzung zuzuführen.
Zweistimmiger Gesang, lärmendes Schlagzeug, krachige Gitarren und gemastert von Will Killingsworth. Kann man nix falsch machen. Cool.������
