Drawversity - Life Drawing
Welcome to Drawversity - Life Drawing! Join us for a fun and creative evening of drawing life at Fine Feather Wellness.
The Drawversity figure drawing programme was conceived by Jade Hylton with the aim of introducing more Black people and people of colour to life modelling, to slowly change how people of colour are represented and diversify the art we see in galleries and exhibitions.
At this untutored life drawing session, we welcome everybody and anybody to come and draw! with short poses ranging from 3-45 minutes in length; Drawversity’s aim is to create a safe environment in which the model’s comfort is paramount. Please arrive at 6:45 for a 7pm start.
Basic materials will be supplied, Paper, boards, clips, pencils, erasers, and some colours in different mediums. If you want spcialised paper or have your own sketchbooks please bring your own materials.
We’ll have specially curated music playing during the session and a short break halfway through for refreshments. The session is open to all abilities & levels of experience and Jade will be on hand to offer any help you need; as this is a drop-in session, you can book ahead or arrive on the day.
