About this Event
This workshop is an introduction to hand building aimed to leave you feeling confident to explore creating with clay independently.
You will be guided through some core hand building techniques which you can mix and match to build your pieces. We will especially focus on surface decoration through line, mark-making or simple illustration, using clays of white and black.
Experienced ceramic artist and Devorah Livadna will be leading this workshop, find out more via on instagram.
IMPORTANT - Please arrive 10/15min before so we can start on time to maximize the making time, sometimes location can be a little difficult to find so in this way you have plenty of time to arrive.
- Wear clothes or baggy shirt/apron you don't mind getting a little messy in.
- Class also suitable for those with experience.
- Materials for the making of one candle holder and small vessel included (up to 700g).
- Glazing service included (transparent glaze).
- Your pieces will be ready for collection in 4 weeks time from class date.
- Workshop is held in English.
- Unfortunately as it is a shared studio space we are unable at this time to host COVID precautionary classes however if you feel unwell/sick please notify in advance.
- Studio has ground floor access for those with mobility issues, we can make the space also wheelchair friendly if contacted in advance to accommodate specific needs (small toilet however is not wheelchair accessible).
