About this Event
Drawing Class: Expressive Animal Studies after Henry Moore
In this workshop, you’ll explore how to capture the energy and presence of animals through bold, expressive drawing. Inspired by Henry Moore’s dynamic sketches, Eva will guide you through loose, intuitive mark-making using black pens - focusing on movement, contrast, and form rather than fine detail.
You’ll experiment with quick lines, squiggles, and layered marks to suggest weight, texture, and character, learning how spontaneous drawing can create powerful studies. The session encourages freedom, observation, and trusting your hand.
By the end of the class, you’ll have a series of lively animal studies that feel raw, immediate, and full of personality.
All materials are provided - just bring yourself and curiosity!
No experience needed.
Eva will offer gentle guidance, making this class perfect for beginners and anyone wanting to loosen up their drawing style.
Enjoy the relaxed, inspiring atmosphere (and feel free to BYOB ☕).
Students also receive a £5.00 voucher off a £30 spend at Cass Art Kingston.
