In response to many requests, we are excited to launch our new adult drama classes!Guided by seasoned performer and facilitator Angela El‑Zeind (director, performer, theatre lecturer, artistic director of Speak Up! Act Out!), this welcoming five-week acting course for adults invites participants to explore performance in a supportive, playful environment.
The sessions are designed to help you step outside your comfort zone, build confidence, and stay present in the moment through engaging practical exercises.
Across five weeks, you’ll develop core acting skills such as listening, spontaneity, collaboration, and creative expression. Using a range of carefully chosen theatre games and improvisation techniques, participants will explore character, storytelling, and stage presence while learning practical tools that can also support confidence in everyday life.
Each session includes:
- A group check-in to connect and settle into the space
- Warm-ups and acting/improvisation exercises
- Practical activities derived from acting techniques and methods
- Group reflections and discussions about the work explored
- A gentle warm-down
Participants are encouraged to take part in all activities, while also having the freedom to observe or step back whenever they need. The course emphasises a supportive atmosphere where experimentation, curiosity, and play are welcomed.
No matter your experience level, this course is open to everyone. Whether you’re completely new to acting or looking to reconnect with creativity, you’ll find a space to learn, grow, and enjoy the energy of working with others.
No prior experience is necessary—just bring a willingness to try something new, have fun, and connect with others through theatre.
