What is the Dragon Boat Festival?
The Dragon Boat Festival (also known as the Duanwu Festival) is a vibrant, traditional Chinese celebration held on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month.
The festival honours Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet from ancient China, and is traditionally marked by:
- 🚣 Dragon boat races – thrilling competitions featuring beautifully decorated boats.
- 🍙 Zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) – delicious treats wrapped in bamboo leaves.
- 🧵 Scented Sachets – traditionally crafted and believed to bring good luck and health.

Session Times
We will be hosting two sessions throughout the day. Please select your preferred time when booking:
- First Session: 12:00 – 13:00
- Second Session: 13:30 – 14:30
Ticket Prices
- Single Child Family: £15 (Includes entry for 2 adults + 1 child)
- Siblings Family: £20 (Includes entry for 2 adults + 2 children)
- Extra Adults: £5 per person

- Booking: Tickets are strictly limited and non-refundable. If you wish to bring extra adults, please ensure you add the correct number of additional tickets to your booking.
- Supervision: Children must be supervised at all times. The safety and well-being of children remain the sole responsibility of the parent, guardian, or ticket holder, not the event organisers or venue owners.
- Allergies: Please review the ingredients provided for the rice dumpling-making activity if you or your children have any food allergies or dietary sensitivities.
- Photography: Photography and filming will take place during the event for social media purposes. If you would prefer not to be photographed, please pop over and let a member of the team know on the day.
