For nearly two decades, the West Michigan, Kalamazoo-Muskegon MI Black Nurses Association (KMMBNA) has remained committed to advancing health education, promoting wellness in our communities, and supporting the next generation of nursing professionals.

Through the generous support of sponsors, community partners, and attendees, KMMBNA has awarded more than $175,000 in scholarships to nursing students across Michigan—helping many remain in school and successfully complete their nursing education programs. These efforts continue to make a meaningful impact in addressing nursing shortages throughout communities in Michigan.

Join us for the 19th Annual Scholarship Awards Dinner Dance Gala & Silent Auction on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the beautiful Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. This elegant evening will focus health and wellness education, scholarship recipients, community leadership, and the continued advancement of healthcare equity and nursing excellence.

This year’s Health & Wellness educational session will focus on the theme: “Improving Healthcare Delivery: Everyone’s Business.” We are honored to welcome Lisa M. Lowery, MD, MPH, FAAP, FSAHM as our keynote speaker.
