Dr. Barry Lachman, (Keynote Speaker, President and CEO)
Biography:-
In the field of healthcare for the underprivileged, Dr. Lachman is a nationally renowned leader. He has been a service provider, program developer, administrator, and advocate for marginalized communities for more than 50 years. He is a nationally known leader in the management of asthma and the prevention of preterm births, and he has over 25 years of experience as a managed care medical director.
As President and CEO of Lachman Community Development and Consulting Services, he currently works to improve underprivileged communities and individuals, with a particular focus on social factors such as unemployment, access to healthcare, affordable housing, food insecurity, small business development, and workforce development. Related research focuses on community-based care utilizing new communication and technological tools, insights from COVID, and new care models.
Dr. Barry Lachman will present his speech at our CME/CPD accredited 14th World Healthcare, Hospital Management, Nursing, and Patient Safety Conference, from July 25–27, 2024, in Holiday Inn Dubai, Al Barsha, UAE & and Virtual.
The National Health Service Corps, a Federal initiative serving 20 million people and commemorating its 50th anniversary in 2020, was inspired by a concept that he came up with.
His work with asthma includes being the President and Chair of the Clinical Committee of the Texas Asthma Coalition, which created nationally recognized materials for healthcare professionals and individuals with asthma; he is the Texas Chapter Champion for the American Academy of Pediatrics Asthma Patient-Centered Medical Home Project; he is the driving force behind the Parkland Center for Clinical Innovation's asthma predictive model; and he has developed asthma intervention programs that have reduced asthma-related admissions and ER visits by over 30% and 40% for Medicaid children.
