Young & old, active or sedentary, every BODY is capable of reaching its own unique challenge & achieving growth along the way. Downtown YOGA continues to help Las Vegans (& visitors from all over the world) find these unique, healthy challenges through the mind-body practice of yoga. Drop by an upcoming class! 🌎
Our classes unfold at a welcoming pace for all. Each position, or asana, assumed during class lasts several breath cycles to allow practitioners to ease themselves into complicating forms without getting left behind. It also requires purposeful concentration, as we utilize large muscle groups simultaneously, working through full ranges of motion at the joints. Breathwork techniques, like Pranayama & diaphragmatic breath, will be introduced. Pratyahara (sensory withdrawal) & Dhyana (meditation) are also attempted in our offered classes as we all venture closer toward the self.
After working up a sweat, refuel the body with breakfast, lunch, dinner or a cool beverage from one of the eco-friendly park's dining/drinking establishments. Container Park discounts available for all Downtown YOGA attendees! See below for list of participating small businesses.
In the life of any person, especially in the year 2024, taking the time to tap in with the breath & brain (while simultaneously testing our anatomy in rewarding ways) allows for growth to occur on conscious & subconscious levels. Human expression is rooted in an individual's experiences, & what better to experience wholeheartedly than your own being? Plus, it allows us to come together as a community and raise our collective consciousness (& conscientiousness) as we share time & expend effort together !
Yoga is an ancient Sanskrit word loosely translating to union or yoke. It is said in reference to the unification of one’s body & mind through continual practice, leading to outward clarity & knowledge of self gradually taking root in diligent yoginis & yogis all over the world... for millennia!
It is truly intended for all humans, & every BODY.
