About this Event
About the organization:
The Animals·Nature·Futures Film Festival (ANFFF) is a nomadic annual event by International Nature Bond CIC (UK), dedicated to showcasing powerful stories about animals, nature, and the future. It creates a platform where creativity, dialogue, and innovation meet to inspire positive change.
About the event:
This double bill pairs two urgent reflections on human–animal relations. In The Detectorists (UK, 6’), a young dog named Cariad begins training to detect otters under the guidance of her owner Lee and veteran Neo, weaving a tender story of trust and belonging in conservation work. Pet Farm (UK Premiere, Norway, 82’) shifts from the rivers of Wales to a rural farm where Joakim attempts to domesticate foxes, inspired by a 1970s Russian experiment. What begins as a childhood dream faces abrupt collapse when local authorities declare his project illegal. Together, the films expose the complexities of intimacy, legality, and devotion across species, raising questions about where passion ends and exploitation begins.
