This interactive daytime session explores ability, stability, and the opportunities that can follow. You’ll learn how to expand your ideal audience by designing more inclusive presentations — and build a personalized plan to sustain your energy, focus, and performance as demand grows.

Featuring two superstars of the CAPS National board, Denis Boudreau & Robin O’Grady have generously expanded their CAPS Toronto visit to offer a pair of afternoon sessions that wonderfully complement the evening’s planned programming:

Session #1:

Your Average Audience Member Does Not Exist with Denis Boudreau (CAPS President Elect)

Most speakers design their talks for an imagined “average” audience member. The problem is that this person rarely exists. In this interactive 60 minute workshop, Denis Boudreau invites CAPS members and their guests to rethink who they design their talks for. Drawing from his 2023 book The Inclusive Speaker, participants will examine how presentations can unintentionally exclude audience members with disabilities and explore practical ways to broaden the reach and impact of their message.

Session #2:

Your Personal Performance Plan: Stress, Energy & Results with Robin O’Grady (CAPS Chapter Liaison)

Speaking is a performance sport. Travel, early mornings, adrenaline, long days, and the pressure to “show up” can quietly drain your energy and focus. In this fast, practical workshop, you’ll build a simple plan using Robin’s Mind • Body • Soul framework, so you know exactly what to do on travel days, during heavy booking seasons, and before/after high-stakes stages.

Your Chapter Leadership Team (CLT) have been working hard behind the scenes to continue developing this bold new era for CAPS Toronto — offering a packed schedule of events with just the right blend of personal connection and professional value. Denis Boudreau is the principal and founder of Inklusiv Communication, a consulting and training firm focused on inclusive communication, accessibility, and leadership. With more than 25 years of experience helping organizations communicate more effectively, Denis works with leaders and entrepreneurs who want to strengthen their visibility, connect with broader audiences, and grow their impact through clear strategy and practical tools.

Robin O’Grady is on the CAPS National Board in the portfolio of Chapter Liaison, sharing that portfolio with Barb Stuhlemmer. She has been with CAPS for 9 years and is also very active on the Board in CAPS Alberta. She is an international speaker, fitness industry leader, and corporate culture specialist, dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations to achieve attainable goals in wellbeing. She delivers simple strategies and actionable tools that make wellbeing achievable for everyone.
