About this Event
We all have things to say and saying them in a song makes our thoughts and feeling sound bigger, more assertive, creating a stronger connection with the listener. In this workshop, attendees will create a songs as a group; it will be a fun collaboration amongst all uniting us through a hands-on creative process. In the first session we will explore what a song is, separating it in its different components: lyrics, melody, verse and chorus. We will then brainstorm about the things we have in common in order to choose a main topic we all agree on for the song. With this topic in mind, we will create the lyrics and decide on the music that best fits them… a marriage between lyrics and melody.Once the song is created, we will learn to sing it.Attendees will then be prompted to film themselves, in the following days, performing the song with whatever means they have at their disposal (a phone will suffice), and then send it to me for the production of a video that will be shared amongst all in the second session, two weeks after.!!
