Sometimes we dream up weird ideas. I don’t think anyone has ever accused us of being a normal run club. 🤪 Join us for our first ever Prom Night with special guests from the Charlotte Marathon and be part of our weirdness. 🙃
This is your prom, so you get to wear whatever you like. You can pick a theme, a decade, or a character - whatever makes you happy. Go to a thrift store or a second hand shop and make your Prom Night dreams come true. Or dig out what you wore to your last prom/formal event from your closet.
If our guy runners feel like their choices are limited, you too can pick out a fancy dress. 👗 We won’t judge you. 😀 But seriously, get creative. You can decorate a shirt or a hat, or show up in a full tuxedo. It’ll be warm, so please don’t break rule number 1 - Don’t Get Dead!
I highly suggest you incorporate your running shoes into whatever you pick because we are going to traverse our hills all glammed out. All we want is weird looks from my neighbors - no twisted ankles in heels or clunky dress shoes.
Ambassadors from the Charlotte Marathon will be out to talk about their upcoming event on November 15, which includes the marathon, a half, and a 5K. They will have a discount code for the race, as well as swag and a free entry to raffle off.
It’s going to be so much fun! Hope to see an entire street of formal wear!

Come join our merry band of hill slayers as we tackle various routes (3, 4, 5, and 6.5 miles) through the neighborhood - all are devilishly fun! Or do the distance that best suites you. Walk or run; Forward is a pace!
The run kicks off at 6:30 PM, so make sure you arrive a little early to socialize and get in the group picture.
Bring a friend with you! The more the merrier, so they say.
