Artist Talk for Dongyi Wu’s Golden Age exhibition: An opportunity to discover the stories, inspirations, and evolution behind Wu’s Golden Age exhibition. The talk will be followed by a Q&A, along with a chance to try on the jewelry pieces and see how they come to life on you.
Dongyi Wu
Dongyi Wu is a Chinese-born contemporary jewelry artist based in Houston, TX. Wu holds an MFA in Metal and Jewelry Design from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a BA in Jewelry Art Design with a Dual Degree in Fashion Design and Engineering from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology. Her work explores the integration of fashion, art, and craft, challenging the boundaries between these disciplines. Dongyi has been awarded numerous residencies including at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Contemporary Craft, and the Baltimore Jewelry Center. She has exhibited worldwide, including at Schmuck 2018, Joya Barcelona, and in seven solo shows including at Taidekeskus Itä Gallery (Finland) and A-Galerii (Estonia). Her work has been featured in publications such as New Brooches: 400+ Contemporary Jewellery Designs. Wu won the 2020 Preziosa Young Design Competition and was a finalist for the 2019 LEAP Award.

Attendees can also participate in insightful panel discussions that explore trends, challenges, and innovations in the field. Each event creates memorable jewelry moments that celebrate the creativity and craftsmanship of the industry.
