Best Practices: Learning standardized formats and techniques for writing clear, concise, and comprehensive therapy notes.
Types of Notes:
- Intakes: Capturing initial assessments and client backgrounds.
- Progress Notes: Documenting ongoing treatment, client progress, and interventions used.
- Contact Notes: Recording brief interactions and communications with clients.
- Missed Appointment Notes: Noting cancellations and no-shows, along with follow-up actions.
- Termination Notes: Summarizing the conclusion of therapy, including outcomes and referrals.
Confidentiality and Security: Addressing ethical considerations and the importance of maintaining client confidentiality in documentation.
