About this Event
An on-the-ground look at the Christmas story set in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and Israel's modern-day occupation of the Palestinian territories. As the shepherds did so long ago, you are invited to make this journey and behold the place called Bethlehem. Featuring a Q&A with Elisabeth Trost,a Chicago educator who has worked in the West Bank: first in Bethlehem with the Lutheran Schools as a volunteer and then in Nablus with the Pioneers Baccalaureate School as an administrator. Elisabeth serves on the Board of the Seraj Library Project, which builds libraries and cultural spaces in Palestine, and is also a member of the Lutheran Metropolitan Chicago Synod Working Group on the Middle East.
