About this Event
This collaborative workshop between Woman Made Gallery, Jayne King, and WasteShed Chicago invites participants to create their own personalized journals using reclaimed and repurposed materials. Rooted in values of sustainability, creativity, and care, the workshop encourages attendees to reflect on the ways we care for ourselves and the environment through intentional, hands-on art making. Participants will learn basic bookbinding techniques and experiment with assembling pages and covers from a wide range of salvaged materials provided by WasteShed. This accessible, community-centered event is open to all skill levels and supports creative reuse as both an artistic and ecological practice.
