Join a hands-on cooking class -- the Dumpling Making Party in San Francisco's Hayes Valley, where you'll learn how to make delicious dumplings from scratch and enjoy them together over a dinner party inside the local Makers Studio.
Chef Eddie Lo will guide you through a night of tasting, creating and eating using local and organic ingredients.
You'll experiment cooking with different Asian sauces and learn about what to look for when you're at the grocery store. After this party, you'll be able to throw your own dumpling making party at home, working with both umami-forward and classic Chinese ingredients!
We'll start with a soy sauce tasting to demonstrate concepts of umami and cooking with Asian sauces. You'll learn how to master the art of rolling and pleating dumpling skins, making 10-12 dumplings per person. Afterward, we'll sit down together and make dumpling sauces to eat with the dumplings, as well as a course of vegetables and a soy sauce braise -- you'll be in a food coma by the end of the night!

This event must meet a minimum of 8 people in order to run this class. If we do not meet our minimum you will be given a credit for our future classes.
