DIY Arts Festival 2026

Join us for an afternoon of creative showcasing and mingling!

The DIY Arts Festival is an annual student-led event to celebrate the range of artistry within and around the University of Birmingham, hosted by the Department of Film and Creative writing.

This year's theme is RESISTANCE.

Join us on the 18th March for:

• Screenings of specially produced short films from both the UOB Filmmaking Society and independant student groups
• A free copy of a multimedia anthology/zine themed on 'Everyday Resistance'
• Spoken word poetry and live performances
• The chance to meet and mingle with fellow creatives
• And perhaps most importantly: free refreshments!
