Get inspired by the comforting traditions of Indian home cooking as you discover secrets behind balancing spices, achieving perfect textures, and bringing festive elegance to your table to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights. Sapna Punjabi, cookbook author and Ayurvedic wellness practitioner, and author of “Dal Chawal,” will weave together Ayurvedic wisdom, cultural storytelling, and nutritional insights as she guides the class through a festive cooking demonstration and tasting.
You’re invited to sit back, relax, and learn as you enjoy a flavor-packed vegetarian Diwali-themed dinner. Whether you’re looking to expand your vegetarian repertoire or simply want to experience the joy of Diwali flavors, this class will leave you inspired, nourished, and ready to celebrate.
For ages 13 & up. Attendees not yet 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult who has purchased a ticket. Tickets are priced per person. Each attendee must purchase a ticket.

ABOUT SAPNA PUNJABI
Sapna Punjabi is the author of “Dal Chawal: 85 Vegetarian Indian Recipes Combining the Power of Dal and Rice,” a Culinary Wellness Specialist, Registered Dietitian, Ayurvedic Practitioner, and the founder of beSPICED, a culinary wellness brand rooted in the healing power of Indian food traditions. Born and raised in Mumbai and now based in Dallas, Sapna blends Ayurvedic wisdom with modern nutrition to make seasonal, sustainable, and deeply flavorful Indian cooking accessible to all.
Through her popular cooking classes, wellness workshops, heirloom spice line, and digital content, Sapna continues to inspire others to embrace food not just for sustenance, but as a joyful, healing experience grounded in tradition and intention.

- Kanda Bhajji – Crispy, golden spiced onion fritters, served with fresh chutneys
- Dahi Bhalle Chaat – Soft lentil dumplings in spiced yogurt, layered with sweet and tangy chutneys, fresh herbs, and crispy sev (crunchy spiced chickpea noodles)
- Dal Moradabadi with Garnishes – Warm, silky yellow lentils from Uttar Pradesh topped with butter, chutneys, and an array of toppings
- Hari Chutney & Khajur Imli Chutney – A duo of refreshing and tangy chutneys that brighten every bite
- Besan Laddoos – Nutty, melt-in-your-mouth chickpea truffles made with roasted gram flour and ghee
- Pudina Jaljeera – A refreshing mint and cumin digestive drink, served chilled
Safety & Precautions
At check-in, you will be asked to sign a waiver before entering the Cooking School.
For that reason, we ask that all attendees arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the confirmed start time of the class.
