We’re excited to be able to share more information with you regarding our up & coming Divisional Celebration. Please pass on this information via your corps newsletter, platform announcements, corps social media platforms and communication channels – we want to get the word out!
Your community photos needed…. Ahead of our Celebration, we’re asking people to send photos of where you see God at work in your communities / glimpses of God in your Community. These images will form part of the prayer time. Please send your photographs to [email protected] by Tuesday 23rd September.
Doors open @ WBC from 1pm and there is a programme of events and activities for all ages. Our Celebration menu will be uploaded to our Divisional FB page & also attached – feel free to print & share).
We would ask that all those attending come through the front entrance/college reception to register and obtain a wrist band for the Celebration & Worship @ 4pm. Wrist bands will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so come early to avoid disappointment! Only those with a wrist band will gain access to the Assembly Hall. For those arriving at 1pm, hot drinks and cake are provided but you’re welcome to bring a packed lunch to enjoy on the quad or in the Hub.
Dance Workshop – This will be led by Grace & Erin Moir, make sure you wear suitable clothing/footwear. The dance workshop will commence at 1.30pm and the dance will then be shared in our Celebration & Worship @ 4pm.
International Choir – Ellie Ingram has kindly agreed to lead our ‘pop up choir’. We’re encouraging singers from all corps around the Division to join this international choir who will meet to rehearse at 1.30pm. If you have a national/cultural costume we’d encourage you to wear it as we’d love to showcase the diversity and rich colour of the London Division. The choir will take part in worship. The two songs chosen are: Rejoice - Charity Gayle

Hallelu - Ron Williams arr. Carol Cymbala

To help with printing enough sheet music, could those wishing to join the choir contact DHQ via [email protected] by 23rd September to register your interest.

Bible Study @ 2.15pm - We’re delighted Major Wendy Stanbury will be leading a bible study linked to our Celebration theme of being Connected.
Get OWT for the under 5’s– Meet Captain Ellie Shakespeare & team who will be set up on the Top Quad near Houses 1-4) for some ‘Superworm’ themed outside fun between 2-3pm. All toddlers/children must be accompanied by parents for this.
There will be Sports & Games on the quad, the Red Sheild Van and Omnibus Youth Hub will be on the top avenue and Harlesden Young People’s Band and Michael Gwazai (Vocals) will be offering music on the quad during the afternoon.
Doors to the Assembly Hall will open from approx. 3.30pm and the pre-worship ‘build-up’ will feature the West Midlands Youth Band, Bexleyheath Worship Group and Chelsea Puppets.
There really is something for everyone – this is an intergenerational Celebration and we’re looking forward to sharing with you. We’d love for as many as possible to be there ‘in person’ and we will have an overspill space for those who arrive later, with a screen link to worship, but for those who can’t make the journey to WBC, the Celebration & Worship @ 4pm will be live streamed –https://www.youtube.com/@SalvationArmy-LondonDivision
