CE Course Objectives:
a. Identify the most common types of dental anomalies and their key characteristics
b. Understand the potential causes and associated risk factors for each anomaly
c. Determine the different clinical signs and symptoms of dental anomalies during patient examinations
d. Detect the potential impacts of different anomalies on oral health outcomes, including caries susceptibility, periodontal health, and occlusion
e. Facilitate appropriate plans for patient education, referral, and collaboration with dentists based on the specific anomaly and patient needs.
Speaker: Andreina Sucre Beltran, RDH, MS.
Speaker Bio:
Andreina Sucre, RDH, is an international dentist, oral pathologist, oral surgery specialist, and a practicing certified registered dental hygienist in South Florida. As a clinician, speaker, writer, and advocate for early pathological diagnosis, she empowers industry colleagues with informative lectures. Andreina was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and earned her dental degree in 2002 from Universidad Santa Maria. In December 2005, she earned her certificate and specialization in Oral Pathology and Oral Surgery from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, School of Dentistry in Bogota, Colombia. Andreina has over 20 years of dental experience and likes to educate dental professionals on pathology, patient communication, and kindness. She is passionate about early dental education and prevention. Andreina has spoken at RDH Under One Roof and has written several articles for RDH Magazine and E-Village.
