In this second workshop on dissociative parts, Meredith and Tovah will dig deeper into the ways that complex trauma survivors come to treatment in different dissociative parts of self and how to intervene with these clients. Meredith and Tovah will describe interventions with dissociative parts, some common problems of parts, and how to navigate therapy with different parts of the dissociative system using the therapeutic relationship.
In this workshop, you will:
- Explore case examples of dissociative presentations and common issues that arise
- Learn interventions that address issues in treatment
- Understand how the Relational Model addresses interpersonal trauma between parts and therapist
Information about the presenter:
Meredith Glick (she/her), LCSW, has a private practice in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood. She is committed to treating a range of dissociative and trauma disorders. Meredith Glick is a board member of a local chapter of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation and provides consultation to therapists in the field. She has provided trauma training to not for profit agencies and is an adjunct faculty member of the Trauma Consultation Group at Womencare.
Tovah Means, (she/her), MS, LMFT is the founder and co-owner of trauma specialty group practice, Watch Hill Therapy, located in downtown Chicago. She is uniquely trained to work with individuals who are recovering from childhood emotional, physical, sexual trauma, neglect, dissociative process, somatic issues, extreme trauma, and deep soul injuries. Tovah speaks, teaches and consults about treating complex trauma through local universities, group practices, medical practices, and Watch Hill Therapy.
- This is a virtual workshop. This workshop will be recorded and sent to REGISTERED participants only. Due to the nature of some of the material shared, the video recording and the pdf of the presentation are not to be shared with non-registered participants.
- Participants are encouraged to attend with screen on or off, based on your privacy preferences.
- 3 CEUs (Psychologists, LMFT, LCPC, LSCW) are included in the cost
- Requirements CEU's are approved by the IDFPR for Illinois Licensed Therapists
- If you are a therapist attending from out of state, please check with your local CEU provider for approval
