Discovering Revolutionary War Era Ancestors at the State Archives of North CarolinaThis program will highlight Revolutionary War era records housed at the State Archives of NC, which are essential for genealogical and historical research. Reference archivist, Alison Thurman, will provide guidance on digging into a variety of relevant records, including county records, General Assembly records, state agency records, governor’s papers, military collections, militia records and private collections. These records help researchers piece together stories of Patriots, Loyalists, Native Americans and African Americans during this pivotal time in the history of North Carolina.
All are welcome to attend! A light breakfast will be provided.
