Join us for Discover Community Cafe Presents: Get-Hype Open-Mic hosted by Oakland raised author and poet,. Come through to this FREE EVENT at 3207 Louise Street, Oakland, CA 94608 on Friday February 6th, 2026 from 6:00-9pm for an open mic like no other. Whether you're a poet, musician, comedian, or storyteller, here is your opportunity to share your work to the world.
We will feature singer, songwriter, and violinist, performing a full musical set. We will also have a Writer's Workshop with @theberkeleyslam. Don’t miss out on the most hype open mic around!

With a dreamily seductive voice and honest, introspective song writing, Tristan Marcelle expands the boundaries of contemporary R&B. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, she draws on her upbringing as a classically trained violist and jazz vocalist to create ethereal sonic worlds that play at the intersections of musical genres. Tristan Marcelle’s music touts an eclectic blend of influences that range from Nancy Wilson and Claude Debussy to A Tribe Called Quest and Sade.
Open Mic Guidelines:
- Each performer is allowed to perform 1 piece (poem, song, short comedy set, etc) but 5 mins max.
- We will have a bluetooth speaker for backing tracks but be patient with the tech.
- Keep your content somewhat appropriate for all ages
- Please support the cafe with a purchase (or 2).
