About the Show
Six friends gather for what should be an easy, celebratory dinner party. We soon realize beneath the laughter sit unresolved grief, cultural tension, and shared history. What starts as a sitcom-style hang quickly exposes deeper fractures around womanhood, race, masculinity, and the quiet pressure placed on young Black and Brown adults to "stay strong". Over the course of one night, secrets surface, old wounds reopen. The friends are forced to confront who they’ve become and who they’re afraid of becoming.
About the Venue
The Marilyn Monroe Theatre is LSTFI's proscenium theatre, named for the iconic student of Lee Strasberg. The Theatre is located on the 1st floor, accessible entry is available. Please reach out if you have any questions about accessibility.
