About this Event
About This Event:
Do you have precious memories tucked away on VHS tapes, CDs, cassettes, or old film slowly gathering dust? Maybe it’s your parents’ wedding video, a childhood cassette of you playing “radio DJ,” or a stack of 35mm and medium‑format negatives your grandmother captured decades ago. Ever wished you could bring them back to life and share them online, but weren’t sure where to start?
Hurstville Library now offers digitisation equipment for library members to use in the Local Studies Room.
During May, Georges River Libraries’ Research and Community History team are providing free, one‑on‑one sessions where you can learn how to digitise a range of legacy media, including:
- VHS tapes
- Audio cassettes
- 35mm and medium‑format film
Preserve your memories and make them easy to share - right here at your library.
Cost: Free
Age: 16+
Experience: No previous experience required
Equipment: Please bring your own storage media including SSD Drive with USB-C connection and USB thumb drive.
