Understanding Autism in Diverse Communities
UWE Bristol, in collaboration with Autism Independence, is pleased to invite you to a practical and insightful workshop focused on understanding autism within diverse communities and exploring effective ways to provide support.
This session will offer valuable guidance for parents and community members who want to better understand the needs of autistic children and young people.
During the workshop, we will explore how structure, routine, and visual communication tools can be used to support autistic children in their daily lives. We will also discuss the importance of culturally responsive approaches to autism support and how different communities may experience unique barriers when accessing services and understanding autism.
The workshop is part of the UWE Bristol project: Different Minds, Equal Worth: A Case of Autism Independence.
Attendees will gain practical strategies, greater awareness, and the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussion around inclusive and compassionate autism support.
