About this Event
Steve Ford will talk about the many ways he strives to incorporate differences in his jewelry collaborations with David Forlano; thick/thin, smooth/rough, warm/cool, big/small, etc. Recurring themes will be shown using pieces made over the last 30 years to illustrate how even small changes in color and scale can dramatically alter a design.
Steve Ford
Ford/Forlano is an self-taught creative partnership making jewelry in Philadelphia and Santa Fe since 1988. Ford and Forlano send work back and forth between their two studios until it feels alive to both artists. They work to transform polymer, a man-made material, into pieces that look like they were found in nature. Their work is in many public and private collections around the US and Europe.
