About this Event
This Lunch & Learn is aclinician-led educational session designed to provide localized insight into diabetes prevalence, management, and nutrition considerations in Jacksonville. Healthcare professionals will share evidence-based guidance on dietary needs for individuals living with or at risk of diabetes, with particular attention to cultural relevance, access barriers, and food environments in under-resourced neighborhoods.
Clinical insights gathered during this session willdirectly inform the development of Blue Zones Project Jacksonville’s Diabetes-Friendly Dining Guide—ensuring the guide aligns with medical best practices while supporting chronic disease prevention, healthier dining access, and future expansion to other condition-specific dining resources.
