Please join us for an evening with folk singer/songwriter Devi Roisman in a benefit for Alameda Health System’s Centering Lullaby Project.
About this Event

In the tradition of heartfelt folk music, acoustic singer-songwriter Devi Cohen Roisman’s soaring vocals and vulnerable storytelling return to the public stage after a hiatus to focus on mothering and midwifery. She is delighted to share a body of new work and will be joined by a phenomenal crew of musical collaborators in vocal harmony and instrumental delight.

Devi’s songs tenderly find their way into the life’s vulnerable, heartbreaking, and joyful moments. Her storytelling is honed from perspective as a mother, daughter, granddaughter, midwife, dancer, and meaning-seeker. Devi’s songs reach into the human psyche, touching loss, identity, friendship, and love in its many guises.

This special evening will also serve as a fundraiser for a project that integrates Devi’s passions for music & midwifery - Alameda Health System’s Centering Lullaby Project, which pairs birthing families with musicians to write personal lullabies for their children.

Devi's first album, "Full Belly," can be enjoyed on Spotify. (Yes, her name has changed!)

See more about Devi’s work with the Centering Lullaby Project in the video below.
