About this Event
In this workshop, we will use news podcasts to develop listening and reading comprehension skills in German. Deutsche Welle produces a daily news podcast for language learners called Langsam gesprochene Nachrichten (LGN). These segments present international headlines spoken slowly and clearly, allowing learners time to process new - and sometimes unfamiliar - information in real time.
Strengthening listening comprehension provides a strong foundation for improved communication and presentation skills, while also helping students stay informed about current events in the German-speaking world. Materials will be provided by the instructor prior to the workshop. Attendees should have, at minimum, a beginner Advanced level (A2) knowledge of the German language to participate.
